Section 94
- Provisions regarding license renewal
(1) If the insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider wants to renew the license, he/she shall submit an application to the authority before the expiry of the license period, attaching the prescribed fee and other details.
(2) If an insurance intermediary fails to submit an application for license renewal within the period specified in sub-section (1), if an application is made for an extension of the opening period, the authority may extend the period for a maximum of three months if the conduct is reasonable after conducting the necessary investigation.
(3) If an application for renewal is received within the period specified in sub-section (1) or (2), the license shall be renewed for a period of three years if it is found appropriate to renew it after the necessary investigation.
(4) If the license cannot be renewed for any reason, the opening authority shall inform the relevant insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider in writing.
(5) Other arrangements regarding license renewal of insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider shall be as prescribed.
